INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - During the last four decades, Tau Kappa Epsilon has seen many terrific men become members in college and go on to prominence in their chosen profession. A select number of these men gained their prominence within the doors of International Headquarters. One has had such an influence on the continued success of TKE, he is idolized whenever his name comes up. The man - the myth - the legend - Dennis "Buckwheat" Perry.

On a cold winter's night 113 years ago, five students determined to establish a new kind of fraternity, one that the world had never seen before.

GREEN BAY, Wisc. - In the 18th hour of the fifth day in 2012, two great men joined Tau Kappa Epsilon. Fraters Aaron Rodgers and Graham Harrell, both quarterbacks for the NFL's Green Bay Packers, were initiated into the Sigma-Xi Chapter at St. Norbert College.

School will be getting started again very soon, if it hasn't already. The hustle and bustle of spring recruitment, red carnation balls and other activities will soon receive the most attention. The 2011-12 school year has started with a bang. While we don't want anyone to rest on their laurels, it is good to step back and celebrate the successes. From recruitment to service and beyond, you have taken Better Men for a Better World to heart through your efforts. It truly is an amazing time to be a Teke. The first semester is complete. Whether you had the worst recruitment or the best, spring is not the time to rest. Think of it this way - When you get an 'A' on a mid-term exam, do you stop studying the rest of the semester? After you win a football game, do you stop practicing the rest of the season? Of course not, and you shouldn't stop recruiting either.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Chief Executive Officer of Tau Kappa Epsilon, Frater Steven A. Ramos, is proud to announce the appointment of Thomas Carter as the Fraternity's Chief Financial Officer. Carter will serve as TKE's Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and direct all financial matters of the organization.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Frater John A. Courson (Alpha-Epsilon, Monmouth College), an established housing industry executive who most recently served as the president and chief executive officer of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), has been tapped to become the new president and chief executive officer of the Home Builders Institute (HBI).

It's the most wonderful time of the year. Finals are coming to a close and you are escaping the worries of school to head home for the holidays. You are leaving, in most cases, for a month - away from the chapter house that you have called home for more than a semester now. You want to make sure when you return, it is exactly the way you left it - right? INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Tau Kappa Epsilon earned two awards at the annual Indiana Society of Association Executives Star Awards Thursday evening. The recognition comes as a direct result of the collective efforts in the TKE Nation.

Final exams are stressful for many students-and it's obvious why. Finals are designed to allow students the opportunity to demonstrate how much information they have retained from an entire semester. Every subject is a little bit different, so you should design your study skills around each particular exam.

There is a lot of stress that comes with final exams. When they are finally over, you want to blow off steam by throwing or attending a social event. TKE understands this, but wants to be sure both you and your guests are safe so everyone can have a good time.
