2010 TKE Bowling Recap

By mreiff - Posted on 09 March 2010

Fraters,

Although it was cold and nasty outside on Sunday, February 21st for the Annual TKE Bowling Tournament, the competition (if you want to call it that) inside the AMF bowling complex in North Kansas City was smoking hot.  Thanks to the 20 TKE Delta Nu alumni that drove through the snow and ice to spend a couple hours sharing lies and throwing gutter balls.
Enough beer was consumed to keep Budweiser in business all day and nobody got hurt, except for the feelings and optic nerves that Brent Steffens damaged by showing off his stylish bowling clothes that he had recently stole from a back room of the Salvation Army.  Brent is truly a "bowling alley fashion maestro".
Congrats to the winning team of Ken Yeager, Bernie Batliner, Tony Dorrell, Scott Ooton and Steve Brightwell.  These gentlemen are now the Charter Members of a new traveling trophy that will be engraved with their names and cherished by all for years to come.
Finally, appreciation is given to Max Knudsen (779) for organizing this event as he's done for many years.  He would, however, like to pass the bowling baton to another alumni, so if anyone is interested in organizing this prestigious event in the future please let Max or I know.  I'm also still seeking local social chairs for KC and Omaha.
Hope to see everyone soon at the June golf tournament in Maryville!
YITB,
Ron Beaver (858), BOA Social Director, rb64089@gmail.com
