Northwest-Pittsburg State Football game at Arrowhead September 12th
As we updated before, the TKE Tent has been cancelled. In its place, Tony Dorrel asked me pass along that he has picked the 'H32' area in the parking lot to meet anyone interested for a tailgate.  There will be two smaller tents and anyone with another 10'x10' tent should contact Tony.  Dan Canchola will bring a grill and there will be keg available. Cost to partake in the keg is $5 a person.  You will need to supply your own food, chairs and other beverages if you wish. Additionally, due to a lack of interest, Brad Gamble will no longer be taking orders for game tickets. You can probably still contact Northwest Student Services at 660-562-1212. Delta Zeta Sorority at Northwest closes its chapter
After over 50 years on the Northwest campus, the women of Delta Zeta at Northwest, in agreement with their HQ, have elected to close the chapter. Mark Witthar, chairman of the Delta Nu Board of Advisors, sent letters, drafted by Dan Canchola, to the chapter and to their Regional Director, expressing our condolences and well wishes about the closing. If anyone would like a copy of this letter, please reply to this email.
 
Delta Nu Frater joins TKE HQ Staff
Michael Russell, former Prytanis of Delta Nu, has joined the TKE HQ staff full-time as an Expansion Consultant, helping to grow Tau Kappa Epsilon for many years to come.  Frater Russell pledged TKE in the Fall of 2005 and during his time as an active, held the offices of Rush Chair, Grammateus, Prytanis, and Philanthropy Chair.  He was an intern at TKE HQ in the summer of 2008.  Michael can be reached at:  mrussell@tke.org, mrusselll0101@gmail.com or 816-589-9171.
 
Facebook, Web Pages and Updating Contact Information
The Board of Advisors and Alumni Association are stepping up efforts at creating tools that improves the communication between and among Delta Nu alumni and actives. 
FACEBOOK: If you weren’t aware, there are two Facebook group pages you can join – TKE Delta Nu and Northwest Missouri State TKE. There are many DN members, young and old, that are on Facebook and have joined these groups. Maybe you can reconnect with someone you haven’t seen in a while!
ADDRESSES: In preparation to re-launch newsletter communications, we are working to update addresses, verifying between the Delta Nu mailing list and what TKE HQ has in their records. Please feel free to reply to this email with your current home mailing address, home and mobile phones and your primary and secondary email addresses.
WWW.NWTKE.COM: don’t forget, the chapter has a web site you can visit for news, information and discussion.  As the school year has just started, there is a lot of information to be updated, but please remember to visit and bookmark the site and to check for updates.
 
Rush has Started
Prytanis Todd Sexton reported Monday night that they hosted a rush event and 63 men expressed interested in TKE! Also, there are 29 actives living in the TKE house and getting the house clean and into shape.  Sounds as if the 2009 Fall Semester is starting off well!
 
2010 Golf Tournament
Things are still in the planning stages but the tournament is currently tentatively set for Friday, June 4th, 2010,  again at Mozingo Lake GC in Maryville. Anyone interested in being involved in the tournament, can contact Michael Reiff at 402-203-4381 or Brent Steffens at 636-667-9594.
