2010 TKE Bowling Tournament

Lace up those shoes and shine up your (bowling) balls! The 2010 TKE Bowling Tournament is just around the corner. This long standing Delta Nu event will again be held in Kansas City and is open to all Delta Nu Tekes - active and alumni. 

The tournament will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2010 and will start at 12:30 p.m. First roll is at 1:00 PM so please come a few minutes early to round up your team and stretch out your elbows.
 

This year’s event will again be held at AMF Pro Bowl – 505 E. 18th Ave, North Kansas City, MO. Cost for the event is $20.00 for Alumni and $15.00 for Actives. We will play 3 games.

Fraters, we are proud to announce the release of the Winter 2009 Delta Nu Review.  We hope you enjoy the return of this icon of TKE - Delta Nu Chapter. 

The TKE Delta Nu Alumni Board of Advisors and Alumni Association have been working hard over the past year to renew their commitment to Delta Nu.  In this newsletter, you will read about many things that are going on that have had new life injected into them by growing group of volunteers dedicated to you and to the future of TKE Delta Nu chapter.

Frater Chris Sams, 870, passes into the Chapter Eternal

Frater Chris Sams, 870, has passed away and into the Chapter Eternal.  Chris was a Prytanis of Delta Nu in the 1980s.  He died Wednesday, December 30, 2009, after a long battle with cancer.  Please keep Chris and his family in your thoughts and prayers. 2009 DN Memorial Scramble Recap

What an incredibly gorgeous and perfect day it was Friday, June 5th, 2009, for the 14th Annual Delta Nu Scramble.  The Fraters we honor every year were smiling down upon us and making sure of a perfect day.  Mozingo Lake Golf Course played host to the largest DN Memorial Scramble in history with a field of 91 golfers, eclipsing last year’s attendance by 30 golfers.  For pictures from this year's event, please visit 2009 Golf Pictures gallery.
 

Tau Kappa Epsilon awards 2009 Peter J. Greve TKE Alumni Scholarship to Gallatin High School Senior

Alumni of Delta Nu Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity have awarded their 2009 scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to Gallatin (MO) High School senior Kelly Critten.

The Delta Nu alumni scholarship was established in 2007 by Peter J. Greve, who attended Northwest Missouri State University from 1970-74, and served as Delta Nu Chapter president in 1973-74. Greve, a native of Elk Horn, Ia., died March 21, 2009, after a six-month battled with cancer, but left behind his family and friends, and the TKE Scholarship Program as part of his legacy.

Passing of Frater Lee King, 296

Frater Lee King, Scroll 296, entered the Chapter Eternal very suddenly on the afternoon of Saturday, August 9th, 2008. Lee was killed in a fatal car accident near Red Oak, IA. The funeral service was on August 13th in Papillion, NE. He was buried in Blockton, IA.<!--break-->

Update on Location of trees donated to NW by Delta Nu

Northwest Missouri State University has announced the planting locations for the trees the Delta Nu Alumni and Actives donated to Northwest. The three trees have been planted in the following locations:

Truman High School senior awarded first TKE Alumni Scholarship from Delta Nu Chapter at NWMSU

Since its inception at Northwest Missouri State University in 1954, Delta Nu Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon has passed nearly 1,500 young men through its doors–men who went on to become successful leaders and role models in their respective careers and communities.
