The TKE Delta Nu Active Members Scholarship is available to any active member of TKE Delta Nu in good standing that meets the criteria for the scholarship programs. The most recent award was given for the Fall 2025 – 2026 academic year.
The names of the winners would have their name placed on the GPA Shield prominently displayed in the House each semester.
The fund for the TKE Delta Nu Active Members Scholarship was established by Delta Nu in 1989 through the Northwest Foundation and is still only one of two scholarships from a Northwest fraternity.
Scholarship Award Program 2026-27 School Year Awarded by the TKE Alumni Association through The Northwest Foundation Inc.
Delta-Nu Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon offers scholarship awards through tax deductible contributions received from TKE alumni and friends of the Delta-Nu Chapter of TKE to The Northwest Foundation Inc.
The TKE Delta-Nu Actives Scholarship Committee has decided to broaden the scope of the scholarship fund to reward more than one or two members of the fraternity. The committee aims to better serve the scholarship fund donors and to support the fraternity’s purpose and mission of fostering academic success to all who qualify.
The goal of the committee is to achieve the following:
- Increase awareness to potential new members, actives and alumni of the TKE scholarship fund held with The Northwest Foundation Inc.
- Develop an ongoing financial support system to get regular funding from TKE alumni to support the TKE Delta-Nu Actives Scholarship Fund.
- Reward multiple active Delta-Nu Tekes for excelling academically.
- Reward recipients for commitment to the chapter by: living the values of the fraternity, living in the TKE House, setting an example for good scholarship habits at the house and taking a regular active role in the chapter and campus leadership positions, chapter activities and programs.
Scholarship Types and Criteria:
Each year, the Delta-Nu Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon continues a proud tradition of investing in its members’ academic success through a variety of scholarship opportunities. These awards are made possible through tax-deductible contributions from loyal alumni and friends of the chapter, generously given to The Northwest Foundation Inc. into the TKE Delta Nu Active Members Scholarship. Together, their support ensures that Delta-Nu men are recognized not only for their brotherhood, but also for their commitment to scholarship, leadership, and personal growth.
Under the TKE Delta Nu Active Members Scholarship Fund we offer 3 types of scholarships.
At the heart of the program is the Individual Named Scholarships. These scholarships reflect the legacy of dedicated alumni whose names and values continue to shape the chapter. The amount awarded each year is determined by the scholarship chairman in consultation with the chapter advisor. The Selection Committee establishes the criteria with the donors and selects the recipients according to the donor’s intent. For the 2026–2027 school year, these scholarships provided $1,000 in the fall semester to members who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and met additional eligibility requirements. Funds are distributed at the beginning of the Fall semester following the release of GPA reports, ensuring that academic performance directly informs recognition. Members who qualify for only one semester—such as those graduating midyear or leaving for student teaching—receive one-half of the annual award. Additionally, there are some $500 Memorial Scholarships that are available for those members that have maintained all the other criteria but are not living in the house currently.
Recognizing the importance of encouraging new members from the very beginning of their fraternity journey, the Fall Semester New Member Scholarship offers support to those just entering the brotherhood. While recipients are not required to live in the house immediately—often due to existing housing contracts—they must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or greater in the fall semester. This scholarship ensures that academic expectations are established early and that new members understand the value Delta-Nu places on scholastic achievement.
Across all scholarships, the Delta-Nu Chapter emphasizes consistent standards of character and responsibility. Recipients must be full-time students enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, remain in good standing with the chapter, TKE International, the Property Board, and the University, and carry no outstanding financial obligations. In addition to academic achievement, members are expected to demonstrate leadership within the chapter and typically reside in the TKE house at 555 W 9th—or have a signed contract and deposit confirming future residency—unless otherwise specified by the donor.
Delta-Nu reinforces a central principle of Tau Kappa Epsilon: that scholarship is not separate from brotherhood, but a core expression of it. By honoring academic dedication, leadership, and integrity, the chapter ensures that its members are prepared not only to succeed in college, but to carry forward the lifelong values of TKE.
As more contributions to the fund come in, increased amounts can be given in scholarship funding. For more information, please contact Fund Manager Bill Adams at BAdams@1RTI.com
