This year we are combining our DNAA Annual meeting (Virtual) with an Alumni Community Service project on February 5, 2022.  The plan is to meet at Harvesters for those in the local KC area who are wishing to participate:

The Community Food Network – 3801 Topping Ave, Kansas City, MO 64129

For those coming to the Community Service event, we’ll meet in their board room at 11:50 PM, mingle and call in to the virtual meeting, followed by a quick lunch, then proceed to work at the Center from 1:00 to 3:00.

Here’s some information about the Community Service Project from Harvesters:

We encourage your group members to bring a donation from our most needed items list or to donate to our virtual food drive by clicking here: www.harvesters.org/virtualfooddrive

We will have a donation bin designated for your group in our lobby for your volunteers to place donations in when they arrive.

Currently, we are not accepting volunteers under the age of 16. To practice social distancing, we are reducing our overall number of volunteers and ensuring that no more than 10 volunteers are together in a single area of our warehouse at any given time.

Hand washing policies already in place before this outbreak are being reinforced with our volunteers. We have asked anyone to stay home if they are sick.

Future guidance from local, state, and national officials or our leadership team may require Harvesters to change or cancel your registration, and we will contact you if that is the case.

We are encouraging the community to help by donating money. For every dollar donated you help us ensure we have the food and resources on hand to meet any additional demand. It also helps us provide means to get the food out more effectively and efficiently. You may donate online at http://www.harvesters.org/coronavirus

Tony Dorrel and Doug Schieber are the Point Men on this event. If you have any interest in helping with this event, please contact Tony or Doug as soon as possible at anthony.dorrel@fedex.com and Doug.A.Schieber@t-mobile.com.
