Since its inception at Northwest Missouri State University in 1954, Delta Nu Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon has passed nearly 1,500 young men through its doors–men who went on to become successful leaders and role models in their respective careers and communities.

Tau Kappa Epsilon is the world’s largest college social fraternity with chapters on nearly 280 college campuses in the U. S. and Canada and nearly 250,000 members worldwide. Founded on January 10, 1899, at Illinois Wesleyan University, Tau Kappa Epsilon has for over 100 years continued its tradition of striving to advance society through the personal growth of its members and service to others.

Teke alumni, known as "Tekes", are found in all walks of life, and include late U. S. President Ronald Reagan, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, NFL Hall of Fame quarterbacks Terry Bradshaw and Phil Simms, boxing great Roy Jones Jr., late entertainment giants Danny Thomas, Elvis Presley and Merv Griffin, and current CEOs of Starbucks, Dow Chemical, Circuit City, Chrysler and Home Depot.

The Teke alumni of Northwest Missouri State University take great pride in offering scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to graduating high school seniors from the Class of 2008. Candidates for the scholarships are required to enroll and attend Northwest Missouri State University and were nominated by a Teke alumnus.

Lauren & BruceAlong with a completed application, candidates were asked to submit two letters of recommendation, an official high school transcript, a list of school and community activities and short essay describing their high school experience.

The TKE Alumni of Northwest Missouri State University are proud to award their 2008 scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to senior Lauren McCulley. Lauren has succeeded in academics and is an active member of National Honor Society, Student Council Executive Board, A+, Youth Friends and DECA. She is interested in fashion merchandising and plans to major in business, with an emphasis in marketing.

Lauren is the daughter of Gary and Peggy McCulley of Independence.
